(via Paris Review – Ghost River, Will Hunt) I love the idea of cities being built over cities. During my short time in grad school, we had a project where we had to make a city tour of our choosing. I ended up enjoying the project I chose but I wish I had pursued another project on the layers upon layers that make up a city. It’s not quite as pronounced in LA as it is in NYC but something could be done (the public transportation rails that fell into disuse all over the city maybe?)
